Approach

EMMA’s Children Care Center (EMC) adopts a child-centered and rights-based approach that seeks to create a supportive environment where all children can access their basic needs and fundamental child rights. The organization believes that when children are protected, educated, and empowered, they are better able to realize their potential and actively contribute to the social and economic development of the country.

To achieve this, EMC implements a dual service delivery approach:

  • Center-Based Care Approach
EMC provides comprehensive care and protection through established children’s care centers. These centers offer a safe living environment and integrated services, including education support, healthcare, psychosocial support, and life-skills development.
  • Community and Family-Based Care Approach
EMC supports vulnerable children who remain within their families or communities while accessing selected services at EMC facilities. This approach strengthens family care systems while ensuring children receive essential services such as education support, health services, and counseling.

Through these complementary approaches, EMC ensures inclusion, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness, while promoting family unity, community ownership, and measurable development outcomes for children.
